Summer is here, and there's no better time to network with your fellow content strategy professionals!

Join Content Strategy Seattle for an informal happy hour from 5 to 7 p.m. PDT Wednesday, July 30, on Seattle's Capitol Hill. We'll be gathering in Life on Mars' intimate Vinyl Room, with drinks and plant-based food available for purchase.

About the speaker(s)

Paula Land

Paula Land, founder of Strategic Content and its principal content strategist, has over 30 years of experience in all facets of content development and publishing, from print to digital, and she brings a wealth of expertise and a combination of strategic vision and tactical efficiency to her work for clients. Paula is the author of the book The Content Inventory and Audit Handbook for Content Analysis, 2nd Edition (May 2023, XML Press). Strategic Content clients include Un-Cruise Adventures, GPM Life Insurance, Costco, GHX, REI, F5 Networks, NetApp, and Kaiser Permanente Washington Health Research Institute. Prior to founding Strategic Content, Paula was a Lead Content Strategist at Razorfish, where she worked on projects for clients including AT&T, Safeco, Microsoft, Costco, MillerCoors, Magnolia AV, and Outrigger Hotels. In addition to consulting, Paula co-founded Content Insight LLC, which developed the Content Analysis Tool (CAT) for automating content inventories. Paula has also been a Guest Lecturer at University of Washington Information School, teaching content strategy in the Informatics department, and is currently on the faculty of the M.A. in Content Strategy program at FH Joanneum in Graz, Austria, teaching the course in content audits.

Ariel van Spronsen

Ariel van Spronsen is a content designer. She’s been obsessed with making information clear, useful, and enjoyable since she was a kid, but officially started her UX career in 2007. Since then she’s helped companies like Expedia Group, Nike, and Motorola craft better content experiences. Ariel lives and works in Seattle with her beloved three-footed tabby cat by her side.

Tony Stasiek

Tony Stasiek is an award-winning editor, writer, and leader of content, marketing, and communications teams. He has 15+ years of experience developing content and marketing strategies in healthcare, entertainment, finance, logistics, and technology. Currently executive editor for insights and analytics at WebMD/Medscape, he spent a decade at Microsoft and Amazon, including leading editorial operations at IMDb. He was also senior director of editorial content for Sleep Doctor LLC's portfolio of health sites (formerly OneCare Media), director of innovation and growth for the environmental news site Grist, and editor-in-chief for a chain of B2B mortgage publications. He is based in the Seattle area.
