As far back as the early 2000s, the term content operations described content production processes. The term didn't resonate until related concepts became familiar (think DevOps). Content teams were quietly optimizing content production processes, business needs are now wanting the benefits of improving operating models for content. This changes how we talk about content operations with stakeholders. Rahel Bailie explores the how and why of content operations, generates ideas for discussion of the topic, and introduces the book, Content Operations from Start to Scale.
